A Rant.

I don't know what motivated me to post tonight. It might be the weather, the dry air, the nauseating feeling I'm experiencing, or maybe the events happening around the country.

Damn it.

The country is undergoing a state of calamity. Because of what? Because of two darn typhoons hitting us for the past week. One was named Ondoy while the other is Pepeng. I feel pity for those who died because of the flash floods and landslides happening around the metro. Heaps of garbages surfaced after the water and mud from the streets we're removed. The stench that the corpses of animals and humans still remained even after a few days. Bitter tears are flowing from each person who lost their loved ones because of the catastrophe. NGOs are doing most of the relief operations. The government not doing any major activities other than announcing stuffs and receiving donations. Yes, I do acknowledge the efforts the government has been doing but compared to what NGOs and private sectors have been doing I guess it's still not enough knowing what they ought to do.

Damn it.

I can't blame nature for doing these things. It's NATURE and NOBODY could stop NATURE from doing what it wants. Try stopping a hurricane and you'll understand my point. I'm enraged by the fact that the government, after the calamities, is not doing any major actions in order to help the Filipino citizens. If only they did not waste their, erm, I mean, OUR money (by "our" I refer to us Filipinos duly paying our taxes) by eating at fancy restaurants, buying houses that they name after companies, creating advertisements that they label as "Paid by the friends of *Insert Name of Politician HERE* and spending money on crappy things.

Why don't they just spend the money on improving the country? Is it because they won't profit at all if they do so? Are they just taking advantages of their position in order to secure the wealth of their families? Is it because they don't care? They want to support their own personal intentions such as political prowess and position, houses and lands, and the likes. Selfish? Yes they are.

Damn it.

All the Philippines need are unity and discipline among ourselves. We need the government to do what they are suppose to do which is helping people by different means such as educating them, giving them jobs, etc. Calamity and medical equipments should be focused on as well. We just have to help each other. Doing our own specific jobs in the community.

Damn it.

I might be procrastinating on my paper in Eng1 entitled "Justice" that is why I'm all fumed up. Maybe. Maybe.

Damn it.
